The local products of the land worked by hand and given with joy and pride .

Panagiota's father worked as a young apprentice in the building trade in Athens and worked his way up to over see many of the public constructions in the 70s -80s.

He is now retired and his love is on a warm day to sit under his olive tree and watch his daughter pick their vegetables that they will use that day or in my case had great joy in giving me.

Panagiota is the owner with her husband Anthony  of King Neptune in Oia and is always on top of making the kitchen run smooth as she is in the service

While popping into their vegetable patch that day it was so
lovely to feel so welcomed and her father was thrilled when he saw how big the beetroot had grown this year, he laughed with excitement each time he was shown something to the point even with great difficulty in walking using two walking sticks he insisted on moving to another olive tree but in the process bending down to help his daughter pull one or two weeds before needing to sit again in another spot to view his vegetables .

As I had to go to Sigalas winery with a friend they had given me so much to make a salad I felt over the moon in sharing some of it with the winery that they made us a lovely salad that completed a found day of memories with Panagiota and her father
